Hola, amigos. It was so much spare times because I did not go to school lately. It’s not holiday yet, but the test week is over and we have no teacher in classes. I watched few- um... much films during last week and this week.
Edward Scissorhands
Yeah, it’s an old Tim Burton movie with Johnny Depp as the main character(one of their great collaborations), I know I should’ve watched it before I watched Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of The Caribbean, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Sweeny Todd, Public Enemies, etc. But I was just able to see it last week. Edward Scissorhands is a contrast creature compared to his neighborhood which is full of colour. Johnny Depp here just wore black and white outfits in whole movie.
Goodfellas
This movie is based on real story. The casts are Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, and Joe Pesci, and some people I didn’t know before. I think most people have watched Goodfellas for sure, because it’s rated very well. Watching this movie, you will see life with no rules and I always remember this quote: “Being a gangster is better than being a president of America.”
Au Revoir Les Enfants
If you don’t like a movie with sad ending, don’t you watch this. Of course it’s a French movie. It took setting at the World War II. There’s a kid named Julien Quentin who makes friend with a new student named Jean Bonnet in his school. Julien slowly realizes that there’s something strange with Jean. He doesn’t eat pork, and he doesn’t pray the way Julien does, and finally Julien finds out that his last name is not Bonnet but Kippelstein.
From Prada to Nada
It's based on a book titled “Sense and Sensibility”. Yeah, there was already a movie with the same title as the book. If you are a fan of Hugh Grant, you must have watched it. But “From Prada to Nada” came with different atmosphere; Camilla Belle and Alexa Vega become a rich Mexican family which after their Dad died they turn into poor sisters. It contains Mexican culture and they- the Mexicans in this movie- speak Spanish mostly.
Breakfast At Tiffany’s
Everybody knows that the iconic Audrey Hepburn played on this movie. Audrey Hepburn was so skinny; I wonder what she ate for breakfast. Yeah this movie is very very old. It’s about a girl that looking for a rich husband, she doesn’t care about belonging to someone for love whereas the guy who loves her always beside her. P.S. Mr. Yunioshi’s face is very annoying and I would like to kick that face every time he appears.
When Harry Met Sally
It’s one of my favorite romantic comedies ever. It is funny yet touching. Starring Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal. The first time they meet, Sally just ignores Harry because he’s kind of playboy. The second time they meet, after five years, Sally has a boyfriend and Harry is getting married. The third time they meet, another five years have passed, Sally breaks up and harry is divorced by his wife. And they become friends and the story begins.
You’ve Got Mail
Another Meg Ryan movie. Starring Tom hanks. I’ve never watched Sleepless in Seattle, maybe later, but they made a good couple there. It starts on e-mail. They e-mail each other but they don’t tell their identities. Meg Ryan portrayed a Book Shopkeeper and Tom Hanks played as a businessman who builds a huge bookstore that becomes a competitor for Meg Ryan’s.
Rocky Horror Picture Show
I watched this because of Glee. It’s a musical movie. And, yes, I found this movie is really offensive. And the thing that really disgusting is Dr Frank-n-Furter. He’s a real transvestite. But, I don't know why, I just like Tim Curry's performance. There are so many scene with underwear. I don’t take the inappropriate scenes really serious because it rather funny though. You should watch this!
